A radical idea
Instead of spending so much time trying to make my hair do what I want it to do, I’m going to try harder to like what my hair does of its own accord (thereby saving time and improving my self-image).

I like the idea. Lunkwill used to try and comb his curly hair into a part back in high school and it looked kinda silly. Now, he just throws some gel in it and lets it do its own thing. It looks great!
P.S. If you want to, you can have your hair chemically straightened. My mom says they put perm solution in your hair and then straighten it out. Just in case you were interested. ;)
Heh. I did the same thing with my curly hair back in junior high. In high school, I took a different approach and had it cut very short. It took the concerted effort of about a dozen female coworkers at Independent Study to get me to grow it out.
And the thing is, it STILL frustrates me a good portion of the time because it never does what I want it to.
At least you guys have hair...
