Warning signs
Background: One of my minor job responsibilities is to look over the weekly lists of newly-approved Library of Congress subject headings to note any headings which are of special interest to our library.
The Event: Today, I was looking at a list of terms approved in March, when I came across the subject "Divided-power rings."
My Immediate Reaction: Like the Green Lantern?
The Actual Meaning: Something to do with commutative algebra.
Conclusion: I may be overdosing on comics, lately.
