Theric - Actually, you're not too far off! As Peter hinted, these are the birth names of actors who have played The Doctor on Doctor Who.
David McDonald is better known as David Tennant, Peter Moffett is better known as Peter Davison, and Percy Kent-Smith is better known as Sylvester McCoy.
The older doctors I wouldn't have known, but I was surprised by David Tenant. (There was already a David McDonald in the actor's union.) I was amused to see where the last name Tennant came from, though—none other than Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant.
Yeah, I was reading up on David Tennant (having recently started watching Doctor Who), so I knew that Tennant was a stage name, and then I read that he had married Georgia Moffett, the daughter of Peter Davison, and I wondered why they had different last names, so I read up on Peter Davison, and then I looked through the bios of all of the other Doctors to see if I could find a third who'd changed his name. (Although Percy Kent-Smith's stage name was more of an accident, which is also interesting.)
