for a night visitor

Tonight,
When the wind blows,
You will find me.

You will smell my breath
And come around locked doors
And through barred windows
With your hungry kisses.

I will not wake,
But in the morning
I will see the evidence
Of your affection.

I think this poem is a lot less romantic if you know it was inspired by a mosquito. :S

The evidence bit tripped me up until it hit me: mosquito.

Cursed things.

At least they inspire clever poetry, yes?
